Screwed up NZB's
« on: March 28, 2018, 09:17:43 pm »
Whether this is an Albtbinz issue (which I doubt but I have to ask) has anyone else had an issue with a perfectly completed d/l and instead of ending up with proper rar and par files, found in their place are files that looked as if a drunk monkey had typed them, and with no files extension? I've had a few as of late. Is it improper raring from the file creator? If it's a new way to package a files, then Im lost.

After seeing a few posts from dabrown I see what is going on. If version 44.3 not catching a new style of obfuscated files or is there a setting Im not fully aware of?

Is this from one particular indexer?  I may not be using that indexer which is why I have not encountered this new obfuscation method.

Would you be prepared to name the indexer who uses this new obfuscation method please?

If they have a policy of not wanting to be named, please don't mention them.

As you'd know by now, there's no switch as such, all the obfuscation modifications have been done in the program by rdl and we'll need a new update to address them as per the link you referenced.

The only option I can think of which semi-relates to obfuscation is to auto-rename video file to collection name in the unrar menu in Setup.

rdl or someone else who knows will correct me if I'm wrong...
