As I recall it's Spiril.
Do they look alike. Yes. But that's where all similarity ends. Cloning ones program means I have a source, which I don't, so...

Also I didn't wrote this: :)
We Have Learned From The Best
It is no secret that the development of NewsLeecher has been inspired by some of the very best newsreaders on the market. We have tried to take the best features from NewsBinPro, NewsPro, BNR, GrabIt and other popular newsreaders and mix them together to make the ultimate newsreader available for our users!

If you don't have something useful to say..... or constructive criticism or something....

Have you also posted this at Ultraleecher's forum?? Sure looks a lot like alt.binz, or newsleecher, or the other way around.

Newsleecher is not free, and a team of developers has been developing on it for years. This program has been under development for half a year or something and already has more features then newsleecher does.

newsleecher now uses such heavy anti piracy protection that you need a 5ghz CPU to download newsgroups.. spirils made a right mess out of that program... why shouldit need to use CPU cycles when its idle and doing nothing?

new features dont get worked on, because hes too busy upgrading and trying to fix the license system.

theres beta ,8 beta 8t2, beta 8t3,beta 9t2 (all of which are long standing unsolved problems of the "over the top" license system)

unrar/par support still isnt into beta yet (apparently the code is there) but not useable by anyone... i dont hold out much hope for the program though, as because it uses 60-100% of your cpu all the time, how is it gonna have anything left to do unraring?

alt.binz is awesome work guys, so efficient...  actually being able to use my computer for other things whilst leeching is nice:)

with newsleecher i would only open NL & download when i afk or at work, cos theres no cpu/resources left to do other things on the pc.
whatever happens with alt.binz DONT do what spiril has done to newsleecher!
if your going to implement a antipiracy system on alt.binz, dont blow all your donations on it like NL did, just use a simpler scheme that doesnt totaly interfere with the Computers day to day running, no matter what protection you choose, pirates will get it if they want it.
NL's Protection is so over the top for a budget program, and yet still gets cracked within 5minutes.

i like to see people who put hard work into applications get paid. i bought a 2yr license for NL around the v2.3 stage. shocking how development and bugfixes have slowed to a crawl, nothing gets fixed or added..only ever problems and temporary beta fixes to do with its protection. and constant license upgrades.. sigh..ive had enough ;)

if i knew that spiril was going to spend everyones money on the buggy cpu hog protection i wouldnt of bought it, i would rather see that money go into his pockets and for him to fix bugs/implement new features...

expensive, cpu draining, buggy protection only affects 1 person.. the customer...
try running a "reverse engineered" version, and (depending on the expierience of the cracker) it usually works better than the licensed original.. nuff said

hehe afaik there wont be a license system like that , mayb a registration but wont be to hard since i know myself that everything gets cracked theres no use in putting a hard license in the program. and i believe that people who want to support the developer will contribute anyway and people who wont , wont contribute.

but i dont know rdl's point of view

and this why I hate newsleecher with a major passion well the maker of newsleecher the program it self is nice.. I just hope this  great program alt.binz don't head the direction and get greedy.. I don't mine to donate or paying low price for this program but don't push us.
