Wenn ich in den Server-Properties SSL-Verschlüsselung markiert habe und das Schloss bei der Server-Verbindung erscheint, kann ich dann absolut sicher sein, dass die Verbindung SSL-verschlüsselt ist?
-
Yes. Or:
https://www.wireshark.org/
-
Dann hab ich ja Glück gehabt: Einen Block-Account vershentlich o h n e SSL gebucht und die Verbindung läuft trotzdem m i t SSL.
-
Same port on both non-SSL and SSL?
-
No, there are different ports.
-
So, you have block account without SSL and you've been able to connect to SSL port with SSL option in altbinz? And your question is that really SSL?
-
Right. That was the question.
-
Server doesn't allow non-SSL connection on that port, altbinz doesn't allow normal connection when SSL is checked, so I guess it's SSL connection afterall :)
But don't trust me, check with Wireshark.
-
Checked it with Wireshark =
Without SSL I can read in an open book = Username, Password, Header .....
With SSL everything is encrypted and only the TCP-Protocol is used,
without SSL TCP and NNTP are used when downloading.
