0.23.2 doesn't auto par repair or auto unrar

As an example, I've tried the following search in Newzleech (both internal search in alt-binz and externally on Newzleech itself);

masters.of.horror.209.hdtv.xvid-kyr, which gives me 36 files (37 if you count the generated nzb file itself) that I send to the download queue. They download, and in the PAR2 tab, I can see them as they come in. At first I didn't include the sample file in the download, and then thinking that if it was included in the recovery set, but not the files to be downloaded that might have caused the auto par/unrar failure, I included it, but still no go.

PAR2 checking is selected, as is Autounrar. The PAR2 tab shows that file .r01 is damaged (as does manually checking with QuickPar), but that there are enough recovery sets for repair. Yet repair and unrar does not occur. As a side question, I thought that the pAR files were only supposed ot download if needed, yet they all download, when only a few small ones would be needed in this instance.

This is with version0.23.2

Any ideas?

thanks

Tom

The only thing I can come up with is:

Have you restarted alt.binz after having selected the auto unpar / unrar option?

With me it works perfectly, but I always download an nzb file.

Yup, I was restarting before attempting to download. It's working now. Don't know why (I'm back on version 0.23.1), but it seems a pretty nifty program. Oretty stable, no bloat, low memory footprint and not a cpu hog. I love the fact that I can cut back on it's bandwidth from the taskbar. I was able to keep Azureus and a multiplayer game of Civ going at the same time.

<<< NVM>>>  With all my experience in IT... I should see the difference between a reboot and stand-by...   :D

I forgot to reboot my compu. It's working now...

Well, i have the same problem.

I download, it comes in and when it's @ 100% (the par2 fileset is on pause and the actual files are all downloaded) then nothing happens.

The configuration is correct...i checked with the explanation post on the forum.

if i manually unpause the par2 files, it downloads them and the complete download disappears. no unpack, no par2 check. I have to get the files manually from the download directory and do everything myself...

strange

I found that I had to close and restart the program a few times for the settings to 'stick', which I know sounds odd  but true.

Also very much on the plus side is that Alt.Binz is able to max out my 5 mb DSL line while using my laptop wirelessly; something that no other nzb reader/downloader has done.
