Title: 0.28.3 nzbs.org rss troubles
Post by: scarney on November 05, 2008, 02:26:32 am: does anyone here use nzbs.org rss feeds? i use the movies, music and tv feeds. since updating to 0.28.3 neither the movie or tv feeds work. its showing similar symptoms to the gzip problem, minus the gzip warning. actually there is no error msg at all. see log snippet below.

sausages

first is tv, second is movies, third is music. as you can see, movies and tv says 0 files, music 15 files. i made many attempts to grab different nzbs. they cant all be bad!! grrr..

here are the URLs as i have them entered, as per nzbs.org instruction. never gave me a problem before 0.28.3.

Post by: Hecks on November 05, 2008, 02:58:48 am: Well, comparing Alt.Binz RSS with downloading from RSS via browser, the problem seems to be: the site currently can take up to 20 seconds to actually serve the NZB after the save/open dialog, and Alt.Binz doesn't wait this long, and so the NZB is empty (open it in Notepad). Or it could be something else, Rdl will advise I'm sure ...

If I manually download the NZB with my browser and import, of course it works fine. I sure hope we can come up with an answer soon!

as you can see, tvnzb works here. nzbs.org is still a no go.

Neither of these problems have anything to do with Alt.Binz, although somethng might be added to try to correct them (e.g. retries) -> Requests.

Edit: please be sensible when posting log entries.

So I agree that it's not an alt-binz problem - it's probably just the site being slow or returning an error.

yes, i think your right in that its an nzbs.org problem. (there were rumblings in the nzbs forum about being hacked) the site/feeds has been down most of the day today. its back up atm, but feeds still dont work.. i was really asking if anyone used nzbs.org, and if they were havng problems. my problems just happened to start after updating alt.binz. heh, great timing. i use tvbinz primarily (and love it!) nzbs for other needs.
