Im helping here a friend. He has a 12 megabytes internet.
We checked through speedtest.net if there is any problem with the internet connection and also tried to download a few files from servers abroad. Nothing was found exceptional.
He has an NHXL account with newshosting and is using altbinz as his ftp programm.
We have set the conncetions to no limit and the max download limit speed to 1500 according to the advise of another thread.
We have added exception for the Synamtec anti-virus.
Still nothnig helped and we still get connection speed of roughly 16 kilobites per thread.
We use a temporary solution by adding 60+ threads and reaching 500+ KB of downloading speed.
I am out of ideas. does anybody know what would be the problem here?
