Hi team..
Hoping you can help me with something that started a few days ago. My symptom is that Alt.Binz is fine, but if I kick off a download it will crash the app about 2 mins into any download.
I have used any number of different NZB's with the same result. My download directory is D:\Download with sufficient free space, and I've never had this issue in the years I've been using Alt.Binz but now it's every time.
I turned on logging and I can see thousands of rows of
[15/05/2010 8:42:03 AM] [Dec] Exception Cannot create file The filename or extension is too long" in between the various "Article started" and "Article finished" messages for the content downloaded in the ~2 mins before it bombs. I changed my default download directory to just D:\ and the crashes still happen.
Looking at what's actually downloaded there seems to be no evidence of unusally deep paths or long filenames. Sometimes I'll have a Windows crash message on-screen, and other times the app just disappears.
Event Viewer says:
Faulting application altbinz.exe, version 0.31.5.0, faulting module altbinz.exe, version 0.31.5.0, fault address 0x000022b4.OS is XP, fully updated & tried both 0.31.5 and 0.31.4 with the same result. No evidence of other general computing issues and generally a pretty static machine used only for Alt.Binz and a bit of browsing.
Any suggestions from you kind folk?
