help 64bit win 8 & altbinz latest version

hi guys been using free version for ages so donated  d/l latest version
running on win8 64bit all loads up
if i use news.virginmedia.com no user or password then i have no probs

when i come to use astraweb with user and password iit does not seem to connect
just sits there doing nowt any ideas

Could be lots of things.
Firewall, wrong astra server address, wrong port.
