A little help with executing commands after Unraring.
« on: January 09, 2008, 06:20:33 am »
I am simply trying to execute a .bat file that is in the folder that the files are being unrar'd into. Its just a simple .bat that renames my TV shows to a proper name.

I've tried
  • $u\tvrenamer.bat
  • $utvrenamer.bat
  • "$u" tvrenamer.bat

and others without any success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

What version of Alt.Binz are you using? (click About button in main toolbar)

There is a default execute command under setup->NZB #2, but command can be specified separately for any collection.

Format for command is:
full_path_to_exe_bat_or_whatever "parameters"

Use $d for full download path without a trailing delimiter
Use $u for full unrar path without a trailing delimiter

Examples:

c:\util\MyCleanupRoutine.exe "-a $d"
c:\util\CleanupAfterUnrar.bat "$d $u"

looks like you forgot to give altbinz the full path to your bat  8)

The problem is that the full path to the .bat is the folder where the tv shows are being unrar'd, and it is different for every tv show that is downloaded. So I tried to use "$u" as the path, but it doesn't work.

Anyway, what do you mean "0.27 user not contributer.... ?"

Thanks again.

You can only get 0.27 by becoming a contributor (donation). Your forum account is not listed as Contributor so you got 0.27 in a illegal way.

Wow way to jump to conclusions there. I got the program from my Uncle two weeks ago. I had no idea this program wasn't free (I could of sworn I saw something saying freeware), I'll ask him tomorrow to see if he donated, and if not I will donate (I love this program).
