Hello all
I know im not a contributer but i wanted to try out the program first.
the problem i have is that download counter at the bottom of the screen shows that it has downloaded more than what the actual downloaded file/thread has.
i.e. in the download counter it shows it has downloaded 350mb but the download thread has only decreased by 90mb.

Please take care when posting anything from your Log.
The error messages (Status Code: 0) point to a big problem with your Astraweb connection. It may just be isolated to that NZB - you should test another and let us know the result.
-
Sorry about that...
what does status code 0 mean.
because it appears that according to astra web i have reached my download limit but i have not revived that much.
-
StatusCode: 0 in your Log means that Alt.Binz received an unknown response from Astra and, judging from the rest of your Log, data that it didn't know how to handle. As the download of those articles 'failed' in this way, Alt.Binz seemingly kept re-trying them with the same result, so that's why your saw a higher download count than expected. Or so I'm guessing ...
This isn't normal behaviour with Astraweb and Alt.Binz, by the way. Did you try another NZB?
-
yes this was the second one it happened previously about 2 weeks ago then came right when i reinstalled. but i will put .36 on my pc tonight and re try. thanx for the help so far :)
*edit the fact that i am using ssl would have anything to do with it would it?
-
ok just loaded the new version of altbinz and tried with a new nzb 3 days old same problem. do you have any other ideas?
-
First, try without ssl, then check your av/firewall
-
I tried it with and without ssl same problem. i then turned off my firewall and av (Windows and AVG) same problem. i then tried it with a different isp which i was shaped on and i got the same problem. i then tried an isp where i was not shaped and the problem went away? so now i am confused why would shaping cause a problem with astraweb rejecting data?
-
Well, status 0 means it made a connection to server but after issuing command it didn't receive any response until it timed out. So, I guess in astras case they are doing more then just shaping.
-
So i would appear.
but why/how would they do more than shapeing? if i am using ssl they dont know what im downloading?
-
Yeah, but they know you're connected to Astra
-
aaaah that they do.
Thanx for all the help at least i now know what the issue is. ;D
