date modified in windowsexplorer bug after dling nzbs
« on: April 20, 2009, 10:41:36 am »
not sure if this is stuck to one client or is a windows issue or what it is but

when i dl NZB files the time stamps are the stamps of when the files were uploaded?
is this normal with nzbs / usenet

cuz with torrents as soon as i finish dling a torrent it moves the datemodified to when the file was complete and moved

but with alt binz /usenet even if i move it or rename it sticks with teh same timestamp??

is this a old issue or new? iunno
help THX

Timestamp should be the moment they were created on your HD. There is no other possibility.

Timestamp of what? Of nzb file - no way. Of rar files - no way. Of unpacked avi/mkv file - yes, timestamp should be different.

The behavior you describe is quite normal. Usually when a file is unrarred the 'date created' is set to the appropriate date at that specific moment (since the file is created on your HD at that moment). Right now that would be 21-04-2009 here (or 4/21/2009 if you prefer). The 'date modified' is left at its original value. That date will most likely be prior to the 'date created'.
