Authentication problem
« on: June 09, 2009, 12:07:29 am »
Hello,

ever since the authentication feature was built into Alt.Binz I feared that some day, I wouldn't be able to open up the program anymore. Well, that day has come...

I've tried everything. I am using the newest version 0.31.1 along with Win Vista and it worked every single time until NOW.

I get the message "HTTP component HttpCli1 is busy" when I am trying to log in. Does that mean your servers aren't fast enough or is the problem on my side? I can't imagine that though, because it worked this morning and I changed absolutely NOTHING.

I am really pissed off right now, because I thought "well, I will give them the opportunity to prove my concerns wrong", but as I see it, you failed.

As I am writing, the issue has just been resolved and I can now login again. But it doesn't change the situation that I couldn't login for about 10 minutes, even with my Internet working and everything.

Even though I am not as pissed off as before now, I would still like somebody of the team to interpret that error message I received ;)

Other than the authentication feature by the way, I absolutely love your program :D

Regards,
Jusher

@ Jusher

Firstly, one problem authenticating for 10 mins in a month isn't something to get your knickers in a twist about, seriously - so take a chill pill. ;)

Secondly, Alt.Binz works very well if just left idlng in the background & minimized to tray, so there shouldn't be a reason to keep exiting/restarting multiple times daily.  I only need to authenticate about once a week at most. Think of it more like a bg service than app in this sense.

Standby/hibernate is your friend. ;)
