I was wondering, what are backup servers for? When are they used? I was trying to download some files, and at some point alt.biz got stuck retrying again and again to download unsuccessfully the same bits, but always from the primary server. When I switched the servers and made the backup primary and vice versa, alt.binz got downloading again just fine. Sooo... I don't really understand what happened to get the downloads stuck, and why the backup server didn't "kick in". Any pointers?
