Title: Can Alt.Binz run from a network folder? (like a portable app)?
Post by: Krankel on October 11, 2012, 10:12:56 am
Hi!

I use Alt.binz on two different computers at home (main computer and my HTPC).

Sometimes I would like to continue my downloads from another computer. Is it possible to "share" an installation of Alt.binz between two computers? Maybe put it on my NAS where both my computers have access (like a portable app).

Thanks!

Yes you can. Put your altbinz.exe on the NAS. Make sure you create 'misc' folder there also. Also make sure that both of your computers have same path to that folder (either mapped drive or UNC path)

Great Rdl, thanks for a quick response!

UNC-path = "192.168.1.2\Alt.binz\" or "readynas\Alt.binz\" ?
