I've just installed alt.binz 0.25.0 and have found that once a download is completed I am unable to find the file in the specified download location. This applies whether I use the default location or one specified by myself.
Any help resolving this would be much appreciated.

Are you new to usenet?
What server are you using?
What is the retention of your server?
How old are the files you are trying to download?
-
Yes I am very new to usenet. The server I am using is freenews.netfront.net, I am not sure what the retention is, and I think the files are quite new.
The files I have tried to download all seem to do so correctly as the progress bar moves from 0 - 100% however when they complete and disappear from the download queue they do not appear in the download folder.

let me guess: the progressbar moves from 0-100% in about 1-5secs ?
That does mean, the files are not available on that server. You can look into your log tab, it tells you what went wrong
"freenews" sounds to me that they don't have binary groups, so you can't download files from it. You nee a payserver (see Provider section in our forum)
