Title: cannot connect !!!

hi i've just changed my subscription plan with my newsgroup (demon), so i needed to update my settings ie different username and number of connection, ssl check box and ports ect....

after doing this, and trying every port demon sent me i cannot connect.

when i use the standard port 119 altbins just freezes and does not respond the rest just dont connect

anyone any ideas?

hi an update to my connection problem:-

i have managed to connect by unchecking the SSL box in server settings. will this mean my downlods wont be secure? as i have a premium SSL account ?

Did you press "Apply" after changing sever settings and did you reconnect?

yes clicked apply and ok tried all ports and still wont connect

did you try connecting with different newsreader? did it work? if it didn't work aswell it might be a provider related problem...

you can can connect without SSL right?

maybe SSL has a different server address
