Changing .nzb filetype
« on: November 27, 2012, 10:59:56 pm »
By accident I associated the .nzb filetype to Textpad on Windows 7 and have been unable to reset this or change it to alt.binz.

Naturally I goto :

Control Panel / Default Programs / Associate a file type or protocol with a program

Select nzb / Change program / browse and point to alt.binz however the app is not selected and does not reset the .nzb file type.

My account has Administrator access.

There are some command line tools also, however it's not clear to me how they work.

Would be greatful for any tips, i've been stuck here for some time and it's annoying.

Even when I got into alt.binz and select "Register .nzb" extensions with alt.binz this does not change the file extension to program mapping.

This worked :

Right-clicking on .nzb file in Explorer, choosing "Open With" -> Select alt.binz -> Always Use

Strange.....
