config.abz password crypting
« on: May 30, 2008, 02:16:00 pm »
I've been messing around w/ an install / config tool, so I can auto config installs. Everything is fairly straightforward, with the exception of the password hashing.
Would it be possible to get access to the crypting algo so I could automate this as well?

I don't see point of that, when all you have to do is include config.abz with those parts you cannot get figured out. It's for your personal use so what's the big deal.
BTW usenet server details are not stored there.

Sorry, I meant servers.abz
Well, it started off as as trying to work out how to copy settings, then I got sucked into the world of DCPcrypt, Serpent and keys, and it's frustrating me, lol

Hehe, it's not Serpent (that's used for nlss). Well you'll never guess. Familiarize yourself with Olly and maybe you'll find out :)

Well, glad I didn't spend too long worrying about it.
Last time I traced something I was using SoftICE, how things have changed!
Feel free to give me some pointers [ha, har]
