« on: December 03, 2009, 01:32:51 am »
Hi There

I have downloaded the newsest versio of alt binz but I keep getting the message "could not connect" on the servers at the bottom.  I have saved all of my correct settings in setup, was wondering if anyone could please help me out here?

Thanks

Hi, I have the same problem as pgdm; just can't connect to my server at all.  The log reveals only this:

[21/12/2009 10:53:10] [Main] Alt.Binz 0.31.3 [06.12.2009] started.
[21/12/2009 10:53:10] [Main] Download queue list ageing done in 0ms
[21/12/2009 10:53:10] [Main] 0 items loaded into download history list in 0ms.
[21/12/2009 10:53:10] [Main] 0 outdated items removed from download history list in 0ms.
[21/12/2009 10:53:14] [T1] Hello
[21/12/2009 10:53:14] [T1] Connecting (SUPERKABEL.DE)
[21/12/2009 10:54:16] [T2] Could not connect (SUPERKABEL.DE)

Over and over and over...

I could have the wrong port setting (it was the default 119) but I don't know what else it could be.  Is there a way of finding out?

Hope you can help,

- SGH   :-[

I'm using superkabel.de, which I think is the problem.  They're a commercial ISP and offer no usenet service, as far as I can tell.  Think I'm done for...   :'(

Plenty of premium usenet providers. Or go to www.xlned.com and apply for 7 day free trial to get the things going...
