Control of Global Search history list

is it possible to have, say an extra button in the controls bar at the top, similar in action to the "Notes" button, but instead of opening a blank note sheet, it would open the Global Search History List, and in turn allow us to manually "housekeep" that list ?.... or another way if simpler to implement that would give in App control of the list?

Open up Global search, press dropdown button and keep mouse cursor positioned outside dropdown list. Use keyboard up and down to select item and use ctrl+del to delete it from list. Close Global search.
