Title: Curious "Stream Write Error"
Post by: nwpsys on August 29, 2010, 01:37:23 pm
Running Win7 with all updates applied, every 2 or 3 days, altbinz stops downloading and gives a stream write error. All the HDD on the system have plenty of free space, and because the program stops responding I can't get to look at the logs on screen. When I look at the log files, the entries before the crash look normal with just the usual Article Started Article Finished pair. The next thing I see is the entry for the app starting.

Can anyone offer some suggestions on what might be causing this ?

I checked for BIOS and SATA driver updates in case it is a lower level problem, but I am running the latest.

Cheers,

Not sure it is any more useful but tonight I also got an AltBinz error :

C000001E - External Exception

Anyone having similar problems on Windows 7 ?

There was nothing in the Application or System logs when it last happened, but when it next occurs I will double check to make sure I am not missing anything. If something looks relevant, I will post the logs.
