I normally used newsleacher last night I downloaded alt.binz to try. I use usenetmonster news service. downloaded approx 1.5gb and next thing I noticed my account limit had been reached 15GB. I never d/l that much in a month. So I signed up for another usenet service. Megabitz and got a 10GB trial. I d/l approx 1gb and my 10GB was gone. I checked my d/l folder and I can verify that I only d/l 1gb. Neither charges for headers. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I verify this?
thanks

Out by a factor of ten in both cases? Well, that certainly is very strange, and not something I've ever seen. I suggest that you install a tool to monitor your bandwidth usage and log your download stats outside of Alt.Binz, and compare with downloading from other sources and by other means. Also, check your router stats.

Problem is both accounts are suspended until next billing. The free one is up in 10 days befor the account goes into normal mode. I do have my local ISP news server but I don't know how to see what they claim I have downloaded. Its centurytel.net

I got another 10gb with usenetmonster and checked the log. It showed 9.98GB available. I then d/l a 48mb file with newsleacher it then showed 9.95GB available I then d/l a 20mb file with alt.binz and it shows 9.89gb available. Clearly this is the problem. I also checked the download file and it is correct and the log for alt.binz showed correct. I also checked for last night and it was also correct. Somehow when I use it my news server gets shows 10 times the d/ls that I actually use.
It looks like I can NOT use this program.
