I've had this issue for several of the last versions.
I import a NZB into Alt.Binz and the download starts. I am limited to 20megabit down so it records 2000 on the graph at the bottom. After awhile, I don't usually watch the downloads for longer than a few minutes, but eventually the download slows down to just several hundred kilobits. I then switch from the US to the EU server my provider allows, start and stop Alt.binz and I'm back up to full speed. Soonafter it is slow again.
I installed grabit and get full speed the entire length of the downloads, several hours.
Unless I can find a resolution I'm going to have to give up alt.binz and I hate that because I hate grabit compared to this.
Any option to go back to something like version .036 or so of alt.binz?

Log would be a bit helpful.
0.39.9 is available for download or do you think it also suffers from the same problem?
Also a few questions. You say you must switch from us to eu servers to regain speed?? Are you 100% sure this is accurate?

I didn't have the log logging to a file. I'll try it again and get a log for you.
Yes, switching from US to EU servers works, and then it slows. THen I switch back to US and it works and then slows. Yes, weird.
I've also noticed that if the files are a few days old or less, then it works better though that isn't always the case.

How / where do I upload the log file.
In the log file, I started a download using eu servers. Was getting 2000KB down. Switched to US servers, 20-50k down. Back to EU, 2000KB.
I'll let it run on the EU servers for a bit and if it acts like it has been, it should die in a bit and go down to a very slow speed.

That really doesn't look like altbinz problem to me...
Try playing with 'group select' option under server properties.
