Hi,
Can you help me with some trouble that i'm having with a group of files which have downloaded but they remain in 'decoding status'. They do not show up in the download folder.
Other files have downloaded successfully to the download folder
Regards

Few things to check: first of all, what does your (detailed) log report?
Secondly, can you see a timer icon next to the files in the queue? This means that Alt.binz couldn't find the articles and is waiting to retry the server - check your settings in Setup > Connection > 'Article not found' etc. Check also whether there are waiting article parts in your temp folder. If you can actually see the 'Decoding xx%' message in the queue, then it's another issue.
Thirdly, some users have reported decoding problems with certain anti-virus programs. Make sure your temp and downloaded folders are excluded from scanning.
Finally, restarting Alt.binz can help to shift things, depending on your issue. And there are some other solutions, but try these first.

i've had the same kind of problem i think.
You mean that it says Decoding, but it just doesnt start right?

That did it for me 8)! It seemed the filename was to long. (lord of the rings soundtrack fellowship of the blablabla ;))
Thanks Hecks.

So how do you fix the "Filename is too long" thing if youve already downloaded something?

try changing download dir for that collection to something shorter like c:\download and restart alt.binz
if that doesn't help there is a manual decoding program mentioned in a thread here somewhere.
