Simple RSS Question
« on: May 07, 2008, 02:53:46 pm »
When the timer automatically refreshes an RSS feed, does it refresh all of them and check all of them against the filters, or just the one that's in the drop-down list? I'd like to have alt.binz check several feeds and run my filters against them for different content.

I'm using TVNZB.com for TV Show RSS's, but is there an alternative that will have more 720p content? It looks like most of what tvnzb is reporting is lower-res. It's taken from an HD source, but I'd like to have the full 720p experience.

Last, but not least, what determines when alt.binz removes an item from the download queue after it's done. Some things seem to stick around, so I can see what's done, and others are deleted automatically from the queue. The download/PAR/RAR operations are completing fine, it's just interesting...

Thanks!

only one feed can be used at a time however you can combine feeds with yahoo pipes (http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/)

try using www.nzbs.org that one does not depend on users to upload tv stuff. it indexes all posts available

a collection will be deleted after it has been downloaded if there are no paused files left inside it or if you have activated cleanup after the set time (setup->misc-> cleanup)

Wow. You sure have it together. I used RSSmix.com to combine a few feeds and it seems to work. NZBs(dot)ORG is a great source.

I wish there was a way to say "If you see a show that isn't 720p, wait 12 hours. If you don't see a 720p version in 12 hours, go ahead and get the other available version."

I'll keep working on my scheme, as I'm sure I'm not the first one to use alt.binz to replace a TiVo.
