Title: downloading problem

my Alt Binz worked perfectly up untill last night. it now connects and sais Downloading article but does not download and remains at 0kb/s .it flashes and sais connecting and downloading article the entire time.i tried uninstalling and redownloading alt binz but when i download a nzb and open it it opens in the old alt binz that i had uninstalled and does the exact same thing.obviously this is not normal? please help.

i also have windows 7 as well as version 0.25.0 of Alt Binz.

Maybe mweb server needs authentication?
What AV?

i use Avira anti virus.when i deactivate it it still keeps doing the same.i am new to downloading and ive been using mweb as my server for the past 5 months.
it never required authentication.could this be the problem now?? thanks for the help.

I do not know if it requires authentication (pleanty of altbinz mweb users, somebody will reply for sure).
My expirience with Avira is is that it does not scan nntp traffic (but some do and it's messing up altbinz)

Is group selection required for mweb? Have you tried without group select command? Also did you try with some other nzb?
What's your global connection timeout?

according to my experience it does not require authentication.
i have tried all that you have mentioned but none seems to be working.group selection is also required.
im not sure of my global connection timeout.i havent come across a problem with it before...
can this be the cause?
