Downloads don't show up.

I've been trying to download *whatever*, but the download simply doesn't show up in the download folder, or even the Incomplete folder.
I've tried changing the dowload destination and it didn't help, the downloads simply don't show up anywhere.

How do I solve this?

If it helps, I'm using version 0.25.0.
Also, the laptop I'm using to download has had a major whipe two weeks ago, because of a virus. My father had to back-up the entire thing, and he tried to regain as much information and files as possible. Somehow, things that should have been gone are still where they were before the back-up, including the download map with all of the downloads, as well as pretty much all of the games that were installed.

But now I can't seem to download a thing.

-when you import NZB - does it shows in your download queue?
-when you press connect do you see active threads
-check detailed log for "430 article not found errors"

You're right, the log immediately fills with those errors. How do I solve this?

Get a better usenet server or try dowloading something that is within your server retention range.

I've never had any trouble downloading things like this before, and I've downloaded games much heavier. That can't be the issue.

It isn't issue of size but age.
Lets say your servers retention is 300 days and you're trying to download something that's 305 days old. Guess what will happen.

It still won't download. It keeps giving me the 430 error no matter what I download. Where can I find the retention?

You can't. The Retention finds you.
You obviosly didn't read tutorials that I've suggested to you, otherwise you wouldn't ask those questions.
