EasyNews RSS Feeds - Anyone tried yet?
« on: February 16, 2008, 09:08:52 pm »
I can't seem to get the RSS feed from EasyNews to work yet.  Has anyone tried with EasyNews?  If you were successful, how did you set it up?

Maybe you could provide more info? The URL, for instance?

The URL is

http://members.easynews.com/idx.html?group=alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.complete_cd&sc=0&skp=1&it=1&s1d=%2B&s1=day&s2=from&s3=subject&sS=5

In the past, I'll I've ever had to do is cut and paste the RSS URL into whatever app I was working with, and I could connect to the feed.  I have tried to work with the filters, but have had no luck.  Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, that needs a username and password, so I can't help you.  Perhaps there's a solution using the same or similar method of cookie authentication as the Newzbin RSS feed, more info here:

https://www.altbinz.net/wiki/Using_RSS_Feeds_and_Filters#Newzbin_RSS_.26_Cookies

You'll need to experiment with this yourself.  You could always
ask EasyNews for help, too.  They should have all the answers.

In the meantime, try this feed as a free alternative to the one you posted:
