Getting nzb player to work :(
« on: October 18, 2009, 04:43:26 pm »
Hi,

I have set the path in alt.binz and the sort files option; I have also used vlc internal and ex and MPC as the media player.
I have also tried countless avi files, but all with the same result - nzb player opens but doesn't open the player window.
In the directory there is a partial file which does play in MPC etc too.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try with KMPlayer - it's very reliable and works well with NZB play.

Nope, just the same - the main window opens but the players isn't triggered.

I  do just need to put the path to ext player in the nzb player, don't I?

Thanks

Yes, if you've right-clicked NZB Play and the collection turns blue, then wait until first .rar is decoded, it should start playing. Or you could just navigate to the temp .avi in the dl folder and play that.

Yes, I've tried all that but it juts opens up the main window of nzb player.
I've played the temp file but it's only partial isn't it?
Would I have to keep refreshing it?

Wait a minute ... you mean the NZB Player app?  You don't need that, just add the path to KMPlayer in Alt.Binz.

As for the .avi - Alt.Binz will stream the unrared files into it automatically.  But if something needs repairing, you're out of luck.

Excellent - that works fine now with KM player.
Was mislead by the option being called NZB play and automatically assuming that it was the NZB Player.

Thanks for clearing that up Hecks

Sorry, but last question! :)

Seems to work fine with xvid and 720p mkv files but with 1080p the a/v is out of sync.
I have waited till a couple of files were complete, but it's the same.

Is this just a limitation of the prog or has anyone else been able to stream 1080p mkvs error free?
