Title: Help me with setting up the RSS filters. [Newbie]
Post by: cbp on August 14, 2008, 05:10:12 pm
This is the first time I am looking into RSS feeds. Did a basic research but I do not really understand how it is supposed to work.

I want to subscribe to:
http://animeusenet.org/rss/?r=3.6.7&t=48
and download:
sausages

Can anyone give me a sample of how the filter should look like in Alt.Binz? (I want to adapt it to Bleach and One piece)

------------------------

While at it, does alt.binz's RSS filters support more complex regular expressions if so which rules? (i.e. javascript regex)

Thanks.

Read this first:

then come back and ask if you still have questions

I did read that before posting. We are dealing with the NZB and not the raw file.

If you look at the RSS it is written in XML. It contains certain tags such as TITLE, CATEGORY, etc.

Do I just filter what the TITLE is or I have to take care of every tag?
i.e. sausages*H.264*wurst* | A

OR

<TITLE> sausages*H.264*wurst* | A
<CATEGORY>VIDEO* | A
...

How about retrieving only episodes that were greater than 068 and that have not been downloaded before.
How does the filter look in your program? Copy paste that plz (for a NBZ and even raw link). That would help more than the wiki which I read.

Thanks.
