rss won't autodownload, downloads nzbs but aren't being added to queue

I've been browsing around looking at different tuts on here for setting up the rss autodwnloader in alt.binz.  i'm using 0.25.0, i have the filter to allow all ( *| A)  I"m using nzbsrus.com's list.  Here's what I have done, I set the list, hit timer ( I want to download all of the old hits on the list as well) , made sure my filters were set to allow everything, and sat and waited...and waited, and nothing has happened, I checked the nzb folder and noticed that all of the nzbs on the list were downloaded but none of them are added to the queue, it's connected and authenticated, so that shouldn't be a problem either.  Is there anything else I have to do to make sure it autodownloads other than hit timer? I don't understand why it's downloading the nzbs, but not adding them..everything on the list is green so i know the filter worked

any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hmm.. I'm not sure if you missed anything but you could try allowing auto-import of NZBs from the folder your NZBs are being pulled to. It's under setup-NZB. Just point the auto-import folder to the same place.

My set up doesn't need me to do this.. (I'm running 0.28.1, not sure if it's different).

hm, i set the autoimport folder and it doesnt' seem to do anything, closed alt.binz, restarted it..nothing happens, maybe i should try your version?

Something must be wrong with your set up, I just don't know what. Try another RSS feed to test your set up?

You can try 0.28.1, but to upgrade you have become a contributor. See the front page https://www.altbinz.net/ I strongly recommend upgrading as long as you can make Alt.Binz work for you, the newer builds have a lot of improvements.

For direct downloads from NZBsRus.com RSS, you need to include your login/authentication in the RSS url.  Check the site for more info, it works rather like Newzbin in this respect, check out the Wiki:

When Alt.Binz flags stuff in the RSS tab, that isn't the same as actually downloading the NZBs.  Check your log to see exactly what Alt.Binz is doing with the results, and also your NZB folder.  Also, why not try another site, there are plenty of them.

P.S. Open your downloaded NZBs in Notepad, it's likely that they're not NZBs at all, but instead html error messages from the site.

Hm gotcha, can you suggest some other nzb sites (preferrably one with many hd movies) that has rss?  ..that's free?

I'm having the same problem with a newzbin feed with altbinz version 0.25.0

1. I logged into newzbin.
2. went to the link to get the session ID and smoke (the third one comes from the rss itself.
3. made sure i copied the link from feed=rss and not feed=atom (as i seen stated in other help posts here about this)
4. joined everything together.

The search for my rss was successful, as well as recognizing the filters i have set (I can see what i chose colored in green).

The NZBs are being auto imported to my NZB folder, however not imported to download - I checked and it's just a HTML login page.
I am pretty sure after trying so many times that i haven't forgotten anything, but this still doesn't work, so what am I still doing wrong here?

If you only see html, they're not NZBs, just the Newzbin page saved with a .nzb extension.  When I still had an account to test, this only happened when the authorization info was incorrect, so please check again that you've followed the instructions here exactly:

It's possible that Newzbin has a new system now.  In which case, you need to take it up with them.

From version 0.25.1, Alt.binz also supports direct download from Newzbin RSS feeds.

Click the Donate button and read if you want the most recent version.
