Title: help wanted and needed :)

I downloaded this program thinking I had a program that would download from groups I select. but I don't seem to be able to find a way to just tell the program "there is the newsgroup, go and fetch" :)

I saw that there should be a help guide somewhere? pleas tell me where to find it :)

If it's header downloading you're after, alt.binz doesn't support this currently.  Read this thread for more info:

Unless there's a good reason for you to need the headers, searching with one of the 8 engines is really the best option.  

You can also cheat a bit by using Newzleech:

1. Go to the Newsgroups tab, select Get Groups to download the group list.

2. Go to Newzleech tab, enter a search (any will do).  Once the search returns, the drop-down list on the right will be activated.

3. Clear the search box, and choose one of the groups from the drop-down list.

4. Choose date range - 1 day min.  Click Search.

5. You should now have a threaded list of the latest headers in that group.

If you have a Super Search subscription, it's even easier.  Just use something like this on the NL SS tab:

group:alt.binaries.multimedia

The drop down list window is to small for showing the groupnames in a proper way, can this be changed so the window is a little wider Hecks?

Btw, I didn't know about this option, like there is so much :)

Not that I know of.  You should post a request for Rdl to make the box(es) scalable.  While you're at it, perhaps he can add display of favorite groups only in those lists ...

Everything is scalable. You just have to locate slider (first 2 pixels to the right of the box)
