I'm looking for alt.binz to automatically download any new files in a newsgroup on a regular basis. I'm not really clear how to make it do this. I appreciate any help available :)

Set up your Alt.Binz RSS tab with an indexer that provides feeds for groups, like Binsearch:
http://www.binsearch.info/rssfeed.php
Use filters on the RSS tab carefully to control the potential spam flood.

Sorry, it took me a little while to get back on this one. That's exactly what I tried first, but although binsearch.info indexes the newsgroup, it doesn't provide it via RSS feed. I even tried pasting the newsgroup into binsearch's rss URL but I get a "group does not exist" response.

Try adding &server=2 to your Binsearch RSS string (this will query the 'Others' groups list rather than the 'Popular' list, I can confirm that this works fine).

Sweet, that worked perfectly. Thank you very much!

Well, I spoke too soon. The RSS feed coming from binsearch is screwed up. Although the Item Title, Description, and pub date tags are right, the Link tag points at a completely different file. Not a problem with alt.binz. binsearch itself appears to be providing garbage in it's feed.

Ah, no it seems to be the same issue: the download URLs also need &server=2 appended manually. Rdl will need to add a fix for this (post a Request). Try NZBIndex instead.
