altbinz wont auto unrar - windows 7 Professional 64bit
« on: February 01, 2011, 08:07:58 am »
First off I would like to say a big thank you to the developers of altbinz its a great piece of software, perhaps the best there is for usenet.

I have been using altbinz for over 5 years now on windows xp without any problems, recently though that changed when I switched to windows 7 professional 64bit.

My downloads will no longer auto unrar and I cant figure out why, everything looks setup correctly in my settings which you can see here.

Is there anything I am missing?

first thing that comes to mind:
did all posts you downloaded have par2 files attached to them?
If yes what is happening in the par2 tab during and after download?

Please, post screenshot of Setup->Download

Also, do a simple test. Put one rar set with it's par2 set somewhere and manualy import par2 file into par2 tab. Once it checks out, manualy click unrar and see what happens.

Thanks for the prompt response guys.

Most of my downloads have had sets of pars included with them.

It seems that I had a very bad run of downloads with corrupt pars, 12 in a row in fact, all seems to be working fine now.
