"Import as Paused....." simply DOES NOT WORK 0.39.4

Hey everyone,

This one has been driving me nuts and don't know if it broke somewhere along the updates.  Yes I searched, found a couple threads with the same problem but they were locked with out a solution.  Very simple, when I click an NZB while browsing, I want it to launch alt.binz (which it does) and then queue the download in a paused state.

The only option available in the setup is under the NZB tab, and it's 'import as paused on dbl click'.  I have this box checked off but still no success.  Once NZB's are clicked, alt.binz launches and the file starts downloading right away.  Some suggest to have the 'autopush Pause button' checked off in the misc. section but this is not what I am looking for.  I could be wrong but I think it's the "......on dbl click" part of the option thats causing this problem.  I don't remember it used to be worded this way.  In my case there is no double clicking, I have NZB's associated with alt.binz so one click online and off it goes.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.  I love this software but this little nuisance has me stumped.

By my logic you should check that checkbox if you want your external nzbs in paused state??

As stated I DO have it checked but yet makes no difference.  Once I click on an NZB via firefox, altbinz automatically fires up and the NZB in question proceeds to start downloading immediately.

Importing paused straight from Firefox? Well, clearly there isn't such a function ... yet.  

If autopaused launch isn't good enough, or saving from browser to autoimport folder (which can also be set to import everything paused) isn't good enough, or just saving to desktop and double-clicking there isn't good enough (which is obviously what's meant by that function), or using the inbuilt search engines isn't good enough, then do what everyone else does: post a feature request in the Requests forum. If enough users +1 it, there's a good chance it could be implemented.

There have been no other users with this 'problem' afaik, so I have no idea what you mean by those other locked threads. Post the links and let's look. And please: just stick to plain text only, we don't need the shouting.

don't open NZB with altbinz, just download them and make altbinz watch your download folder... this way it should work the way you like it...i guess

Guys, opening directly from firefox = firefox saving nzb and then calling altbinz.exe with nzb file as a parameter.

I've just tried complete process of opening with firefox and it does as it should, nzb appears in altbinz in paused state (if the checkbox is checked)
I do not understand why doesn't it work for OP. Can anyone else reproduce this problem?

Yes, and to add, this used to work for me no problem several versions ago by clicking links and having my browser handle and open the program with a single click (no saving).  Could it possibly be something with firefox?  Some more details if it helps:

Win7x64
Firefox 10 (wasn't work on 9 either)
Alt.Binz 0.39.4

LOL, now it does work for me (with FF 10), although my memory was that it didn't used to work like this before, but only when actually double-clicking on a dl'ed file ...

I may have found the culprit as I finally got it to work!  To the left of that option is the box for "registering the NZB extension to alt.binz" after playing with it, seems like this option must be checked off as well for the "import as paused...." option to work.  When I deselect the "register NZB extension....." option the NZB's when clicked in firefox still open up in alt.binz but not in a paused state!  Not sure how they correlate, but in my case it's both or none I guess!
