Title: lost file association with altbinz and nzb extension.
Post by: auriga1000 on July 09, 2011, 12:03:11 am
can still import into altbinz if it is open but clicking on an nzb does not launch altbinz. running win 7 32 bit. tried "open with" and searching for altbinz and clicking it but will still not associate automatically. this happened after i had 0.38.5 installed and then downloaded 0.39.1. when launching an nzb, the old one would try and launch with an error so i deleted the old version and the new version launched fine but now the file association is corrupted.

i'm having the same issues but can't restore the old folder albiz was in is there any other way of fixing this issue? trying to manually set the association doesn't work let you go through all steps of directing to the .exe then clickinbg ok it doesn't show in the list of programs after.

any ideads would be appriciated!

Run altbinz in admin mode and check register extension from the setup screen.

It was already set with that option.

running in admin mode means right click run as...?

any other possible causes for the loss of association?

any other possible causes for the loss of association?
1 - location of altbinz.exe was changed
2 - association was deleted from the registry (manualy or some other program)

take your pick

FIXED IT, had to check Register NZB extension to alt.binz in settings.
