Maximum D/L Speed
« on: April 13, 2010, 08:57:59 am »
Not sure if this should be in the 'Bugs' section....its empty so i'll post it here. I've just now started to use the speed limit feature, tryin to respect the roommates, coz it takes it ALL. which is lovely for me, however, it doesn't appear to listen well. latest version of Alt.binz on Win7 x64 4gb ram, and I do have alt.binz running in administrative mode. Is this a known issue, or does it work for others?

did u put in the correct dl speed in the connections window?
how do u set the limit? time based(the scheduler)? At each start (Settings-> Misc)? or manualy?
which bandwidth do u have and how much does it take?

I set the limit under the 'Connections' section. I didn't think to look at the scheduler because I just do it manually, my preference. i get roughly 1.8mb/s or 14mbps. and it takes it all, most of the time, 5 other laptop users in the house randomly using it now n then. lol i set that under connections, hit ok, restart altbinz even and nothing it sits at max speed non stop, less i pause it or disco of course.

well that's because it is not possible to set a dl limit in the connection section. the connection speed put in is the reference for what 100% is. u would still need to set the limit manualy to 50 or 60% which u can do in the bottom left corner where it usualy says "no Limit" or from within the right-click-menue of the taskbar-icon.
