RSS + Download History + Multiple Formats Question
« on: September 11, 2008, 07:30:14 pm »
hi

first you got here a realy nice proggy :-)

i am using an rss feed from tvnzb
i configured multiple filters as noted in the guide.
the feed includes multiple format: HDTV, HR.HDTV, x-264...

here's the problem:
lets say that i want to get heroes: *sausages*
the feed has  versions: HDTV and x-264
the filter downloads both of them, this is a waste of Bandwidth :-)
i dont want to restrict specific format as done in the guide.
if want to get the first format available.
if x264 was out first i want it, but i dont want to get HDTV too as i already got the x264

another question:
if a specific file was downloaded, what prevent it from being downloaded again?
if i clear the list and refresh the file get downloaded again.
is there any history for what was downloaded?

utorrent has a nice feture to handle tv epsides and i guess filter i used mainly for tv and not movies as you can't realy anticipatae what is going to  be out.
uttorent keeps track what was the last episde that was downladed and if the feed + filter detect tn episode already been downloaded even if it's in another fornat it is not get downloaded again.
so i guess this could solve the previous problem.
there is also an option here to 'reset' specific filter in regards to what was the last epsidoe downloaded.

is there any kind a priority with the filters?
lets say i have in the feed 2 versions as in the example above
but i want to say that i prefer to get the x264 before (and only it :-)) the HDTV version.

10x

1) "if x264 was out first i want it, but i dont want to get HDTV too as i already got the x264"

= not possible with Alt.Binz

2) "if a specific file was downloaded, what prevent it from being downloaded again?"

= Setup > Download > Downloaded articles > 'Keep download history for last X days' + check 'Import already downloaded as paused'

3) Priority = order of entries in filter list, last has highest priority, but not in the way you mean (see 1).

4) the rest: feature requests -> Requests forum
