Title: Maximum download speed
Post by: musictrivianut on November 26, 2008, 01:12:13 pm
Did a search, but the last topic on this is locked, so here's a new one.

Does the Maximum Download Speed setting actually limit downloads?  Or is it just for capping the graph?  Reason being is, any time my computer gets restarted (like the last two days after the power blipped overnight), when I start my morning downloads, alt.binz sucks up all the bandwidth until I remember to set it to a percentage maximum in the corner.  Is there a way to permanently tell it not to download any faster than a speed that I set?

Thanks for the help and a great program.

You are right. It does only use this maximum when using the limiter.

Solution to your problem might be using the scheduler. Also mark the checkbox to enable scheduler on start.

Actually that Speed Limit setting was exactly what I was looking for.  I've lost count of how many times I've gone through the settings and I've never seen that.  Thanks much!
