New PC - copy folder ok ?
« on: December 16, 2009, 03:12:05 am »
Hi,
Im hoping i can get a quick and simply answer to this -

i am upgrading to a new machine and in order to ensure ALL my settings come acroos - is it ok to simply copy the entire folder to the new machine ?
Ie, i need to ensure all my server settings, other preferences and RSS settings are all intact so that the transition is minimal pain.

Thx

If you copy all the files inside the AltBinz folder you're ok. (dont really know if the settings file is _always_ inside that folder but lets assume that).
The only things which might reset are the folder locations.

That's what I always do.

If you're on Vista/W7, the settings will be in your user folder (C:\Users\..\AppData\local\Alt.Binz).  Look for \misc, it's all in there.
