New to NZB's
« on: February 22, 2010, 05:05:47 am »
I am new to downloading NZB's. One question that i have now is when i download a NZB file and add it to the queue and it starts downloading article's but no download speed and it downloads super fast but I dont know where the file goes. Not really sure if I have explained this properly. But not sure how else to explain it. Hope someone knows what I am talking about and can help. Thanks.

You should always start trouble-shooting any Alt.Binz problems by looking at the Log tab, as that's where you'll see the exact details of what's going wrong and why.

From the sounds of it, what you'll see in your Log is a lot of 'Article not found' errors, which usually means that the article isn't available on your server because it's too old (past the server's retention limit).

You may want to have a look through some of the starter guides listed in this thread:

If there's no download speed and it downloads superfast it means the server you're downloading from doesnt have the files hence the nzb gets cycled through FAST yet there is no actual download speed. How old is the NZB in days and what server do you use?

As I said, check your Log for errors.  Otherwise it's just a guessing game.
