Newbie questions

Hi im a member of giganews and im wonderng does the current 0.25.0 version work fine with that still? Is there a free search i can use to search through everything or is that for donators only? Is the old version simply no good anymore? Im also quite new to this stuff so im also wondering are there security risks for what kind of newsreader you use like using a bad torrent program?

it should work fine with giganews as far as i know. no there is no usable built in search left in version 0.25 but it does handle the downloading and unraring if u import nzbs. u can use the websites of the seachengines to create the nzbs. securitywise most usenetclient are safe if u want to use ssl-encryption 0.25 supports that as well...
