Title: Newsbin RSS specific filters
Post by: fiddy on October 23, 2007, 08:57:23 am
I'm just learning about altbinz and rss feeds, and I have succesfully tested it - beautiful !

Now i have a feed from newsbin, with which i want to capture only 720p versions, however newsbin do not provide the full capture details in the name of the nzb.  So if i put
show1*720p* | A
into the filter of the rss feed, it does not capture it - has everybody else found this ?

The RSS feeds DOES show that the source is 720p, however those details are not in the actual name.
Am I correct in saying if I want to do this I will need to find another nzb rss feed ?

Thx

Yes, you are correct, the source information (or rather, filesize) is in the 'Description' column, whereas the filters are applied to the 'Name' column.  So while the Newzbin features are still under development, you should use another feed.

Maybe you could add a request for an option to apply filters to Description rather than Name?

I am Using this feed: http://www.newzleech.com/rss.php?n=80&g=alt.binaries.multimedia
works perfektly
or u can use tvnzb rss, but they are slower and some people name the post not properly....

Note:
"show1*720p* | A" only captures post beginning with "show1" and "720p" in it

better would be: "*show1*720p* | A" so every post with "show1" and "720p"  in it will be captured.

Example for one filter

"*Heroes*S02*720p* | A | C:\Download | C:\MyShows\Heroes\Season 2"

in this example every post from Heroes Season 2 with "720p" will be downloaded to C:\Download and extracted to C:\MyShows\Heroes\Season 2

I prefer this one for Newzleech, it avoids all the crappy alt.binaries.tv cross-posts:
