maybe there is no problem 512kbs = 64 KB/s. you can change the display via doubleclick KB/s-MB/s-Kbps-Mbps otherwise check the option article cmd and select group...

I still think something wrong because i use to be with suddenlink and they allowed four conections at 512kbps also but i could download much faster and i was only running 8Mbps.

wether you have 8 or 16 mbps doesn't realy matter if you can only download 4x 512=2,048 Mbps= 256 kB/s
Did you check the quickstart guide? https://www.altbinz.net/wiki/Quick_Start_Guide (https://www.altbinz.net/wiki/Quick_Start_Guide)
what does your log say?
do you get higher speeds with other newsreaders?

I've had Cox for a few years, and I've always thought each line was just capped at 60-65 KB/s (so a total of 4 connections for about 250 KB/s).  This has been the same for me whether using alt.binz or GrabIt.  Yeah, it sucks that it's kind of slow, but remember -- at least you're not paying an extra $15/month on top of your ISP bill.

Yeah it does suke that it's so slow but i'll just have to deal with it. Any idea why with suddenlink a few months ago that also had 512kbs x 4 i was downloading at around 200 Kb/s per connection. Also am i able to use other newsgroups?  Thanks for all the help guys!
