Downloaded last night. My computer speed went TU a couple of days ago while I used AB. Otherwise it is usually good.
I use usernetserver
Please let me know what else you need to know and what I could try. I have had virtually no problems for 6 months. Now, overnight, no connection.
My cable co. came out this morning to check my speed problem becos I didn't know it could be AB until now. I can't connect. Speed is around 23-25. TU (ps - I know nothing about computers

You can pretty much be 99% certain that this has nothing to do with Alt.Binz. Make sure that you don't have an active firewall blocking your usenet server port, and do check with your usenet provider for any problems at their end.
Also try this from the commandline:
ping news.usenetserver.com
If you don't receive any replies, try:
tracert news.usenetserver.com
That will tell you where the problem is between your PC and the usenet server.

I tried this: tracert news.usenetserver.com - I don't know what it means. Sorry. Don't know this stuff.
How do I copy the information from there?

OK, un/reinstalled at the advice of usernet and it is connecting and appears to be running now. One more question. When I go to add a nzb file, it asks for the program and does not accept alt.binz as the program. How do you make it the default. Thank you again.
