Hi,
I've searched on the forums about NZBmatrix and RSS found a few links, tried everything on them, but I still have not had any luck getting it to work.
I used rss.nzbmatrix.com to generate the rss link, i tried both methods "NZB Details link" and "NZB Download link" and its seems display the RSS feed in altbinz but when I "Add to queue" nothing happens, not even a msg appears in the Log.
I'm using altbinz 0.31.5
Does anyone have any ideas how to get this working?
Thanks!!

Do any .nzb files appear in your NZB folder but not in the queue? If so, open one of them in Notepad to see if they're valid xml or just server messages or html pages.

I've the same problem with NZBmatrix- been working flawlessly for months. Now though when I select to download from the feed (either manually or using a filter), the CPU usage goes high indefinitely and doesn;t add the item to the queue.

Is your import folder clean? If AB happened to pickup and scan a file which is very large that would account for cpu usage. I have never witnessed this but I have read of other users who have had this issue and it was due to the import folder not being clean.

Unless you have an account and have donated, NZBMatrix does not let you import from feeds. I just d/l nzb into a folder being monitored by AB; works like a charm.

I have the same problem. I already removed all config from Alt.Binz\misc and started from scratch. Didn't help though.
Nzb's are not being added based on the filters anymore, and when I add them manually from the feed they don't appear in the download queue. I also noticed that altbinz.exe is constantly using 15-24% CPU even when it's not connected and the 'Refresh' (next to Timer-button) keeps on blinking even when it's not in Timer mode anymore.
I just hit the Timer button again while Refresh was still blinking, and I got a popup saying : HTTP component RSShttpcli is busy.
When I open the rss feed in a browser it just loads perfectly and I'm abled to download the nzb's as well.
When I search in the binsearch tab and add an nzb to the queue, it works as well.
btw I donated to nzbmatrix. So that's not the issue :)
-
Yes thats exactly the same error I'm getting. No NZB's get added to the queue and nothing appears in the LOG. And I have donated to nzbmatrix and have the direct download link but still nothing shows up.

I had some messages in the log after refreshing though:
[25-4-2010 17:55:51] [Main] [RSS] Refreshing http://rss.nzbmatrix.com/rss.php?page=download&username=xxxxxxxx&apikey=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx&subcat=41,8,7
[25-4-2010 17:55:53] [Main] [RSS] WEC 48 Aldo vs Faber Full Event 720p HDTV x264 WB
[25-4-2010 17:55:53] [Main] [RSS] Fringe S02E19 The Man from the Other Side 720p WEB DL DD5 1 h 264 TjHD
[25-4-2010 17:55:53] [Main] [RSS] WEC 48 Weigh Ins 720p HDTV x264 WB
But I think that's just because the filter recognizes the NZB's. Unfortunately, they're not queued though :)

I just fixed the cpu usage bug. However, nzbmatrix nzbs not downloading problem still remains due to some problems I have with redirection from https->http.
Owner of site is redirecting all api-downloads from https to http. It would help if &ssl=0 switch would work in their API.
For now I'll manualy force to http.

Just fyi, and I have no way of assessing whether it is relevant, but someone posted the following on the NZBMatrix forums earlier today:
----
Since you added the <enclosure> tags in your RSS feed i can't use them in Alt.Binz anymore.
Can you please remove this as it is of no use at all for the RSS feed. Why you would add the already existing link to the nzb as an enclosure is beyoond my understanding.
<enclosure url="https://nzbmatrix.com/api-nzb-download.php?id=627100&username=XXX&apikey=XXX" length="292867276" type="application/x-nzb" />
WHY, since you already have:
<link>https://nzbmatrix.com/api-nzb-download.php?id=627100&username=XXX&apikey=XXX</link>
At least make it optional in the RSS builder. The way it is now is redundant and simply wrong.
Thanks in advance,
KJ

The old tvnzb.com RSS used enclosures too, also with the same link. They worked, though the length param was always set incorrectly. A waste of time for most readers that would use the feed in the first place, it's true.
-
Ok, well, I thought I'd bring it to attention.
-
I'm getting the "HTTP component RSShttpcli is busy." errors also. It was working flawlessly a few days ago... Any progress?
And how would any change in NZBMatrix's feed format cause such an error? The error pops up when I press the 'timer' button, before it even checks the feed.
Is this error message part of the same problem as the inability to add nzb's from the feed, or separate?

Read Rdl's post, the bug has been identified and a fix is on its way. 'Me too' posts aren't really needed at this point.

I did read Rdl's post. Several times. He makes no mention whatsoever of the "HTTP component RSShttpcli is busy." message. Which, as I mentioned, appears at the moment the 'timer' button is pressed, not while trying to download an nzb from the feed, which is what Rdl's message seems to be about.
My post, on the other hand, was primarily to question if the two problems are even related.
As a footnote: With all due respect to you, as a 'global moderator,' your terse response comes across as very condescending and dismissive, not to mention not seeming to take notice of the actual contents of my post, and in my humble opinion as a mere 'contributor' and user, is much less helpful, even than a simple 'me too' post, which, I think, mine was not.

Yes, high cpu usage and busy component are related. Anyway everything is fixed and that version will be out today or tommorow.

Stellar! Thanks for the clarification, and for the hard work!

Does this mean the SSL feature on the NZBMatrix feed (when it works!) will not work this the new version?!
-
Well, if the owner of the site (==NZBMatrix) redirects all https to http, I guess the SSL feature on the NZBMatix feed never works.
-
Someone (might be the owner, since he's got account id=1) posted this in the NZNMatrix forums earlier today:
Right I have located the mistake with the changes to the RSS feed script
It was a simple semicolon in the wrong place, should now be fixed
-
Yeah, I noticed him saying that in their forums. Despite that, it's still not working, though...

Are you using ssl=1 or not? If yes, please try without it. That should fix the problem.
https links to nzb api download are still redirected to http

Yeah, that's the thing that still has me confused. The rss feed that I'd been using for over 6 months stopped working. In order to get it working again, I had to go to NZBMatrix and build a new feed, being careful to uncheck the SSL box in the options.
On the NZBMatrix site, Click the 'Site Related' dropdown menu, and select 'RSS XML feeds' to get to the feed builder.
