Configuring alt.binz with Giganews Accelerator
« on: April 30, 2010, 02:37:22 am »
If this is a re-post, I apologize! I've done google searches and searches here in the forums and I've yet to find an answer. How do I configure my giganews accelerator to work with Alt.Binz? When I open the accelerator, there is no activity, even when I download with Alt.Binz.

If someone could help me configure it, it would be much appreciated!

Edit: In my limited wisdom, I have figured it out! In Alt.Binz -> setup -> servers -> click on your server and under "Address", type localhost.

Giganews Accelerator only speeds up the downloading of headers, and so is useless with Alt.Binz, which does not handle headers at all, and already has SSL functionality built in.  You might as well just disable it.
