wrong max. speed

Last night I have tried Alt.Binz for the first time. Everything seems to work great, except for the max. downloadspeed. It will not go above 240kb instead of 320kb  .
Connection speed set on 500kb
Speed limit set on no limit.
I had exact the same problem using newsleecher. Using Newsbin or Grabit, no problem, a constant speed of 320kb.

What could be the problem?  I really want to go on using Alt.Binz.
