Title: Problem with some .nzb files not importing
Post by: BigWoop on May 31, 2008, 03:24:04 pm
Hi, I'm having a problem where I try to import an nzb but nothing happens?

I'm getting nzbs generated from Binsearch.info, but some won't import, nothing shows up in my download queue when I try to import it.

It's only with some nzb files, not all.

Is it maybe 'cos the articles are too old/have been overwritten or something?
One that I'm trying says it's only 6 days old so I would have thought it would work.

EDIT: got that 6 day one to work but some others won't work still.

Firstly, open the NZBs in Notepad to check they're actually NZBs and not some error message from the site.

Secondly, post an example link to the Binsearch NZB page so we can check.   NZBs should only not import if they're not in valid NZB format.

When I went to open one in notepad I noticed the not working ones are only 1kb, typically the working ones are bigger, and yes they contain an error message:

"Error: Collection not in database"

What would this indicate?

That's an error message sent by Binsearch.  Do exactly the same search at http://www.binsearch.info and see what happens.

The universal solution: use Newzleech instead. ;)

I was doing the search at binsearch.info, so maybe I'll try something else.
