Hello,

I am using a proxy sock4 server but am unable to download with AltBinz.
When using a registered version of Newsleecher I don't have any problems.

I just tried few public proxy servers with latest daily build and I don't see any issues with proxy support

I think the problem is related to the fact that I am using a sock4 proxy server on port 1080 for donwloading which works fine with Newsleecher.
The Proxy server is running MS ISA 2004

!! Problem solved when using the ISA Firewall Client.

Is it possible to look at that issue

I´ve just done some socks5 tests and they did not work at all. I´ve established a plink socks5 tunnel (putty/plink 0.59) like "plink.exe -N -C -pw pwd -D 127.0.0.3:1080 user@mycomp.com" and tried to altbinz to my server with proxy5 set to 127.0.0.3 without success. Other newsreaders with socks support do work here without problems. altbins can not connect.

I'm having the same problem... I have a proxy server setup @ home (SOCKS 5), and it will not connect to the newsgroup server when I try though the proxy.

I know it's not my proxy/server because it works fine with NewsLeecher, but I'd much rather be able to use AltBinz. I think it's the best program out there!

Is there anyway we can get someone to look into this issue?
